The 2012 harvest is well underway and will soon be completed, and preparations are in full swing for our annual Oesfees music celebration (Sat 24 March). Our current Summer Concert season draws to a close on 10 March and we have so much more to look forward to in the months ahead. Giving you the heads up: April is the month for fitness fundies as our annual Delta Draf funrun takes place on Saturday 28th and we launch our first Delta Trap mountain bike race on 22 April. We round off a very busy year with some festive fun and a braai buffet; our Summer Concert suppers kick-off on 14 Jan; the Oesfees date is set for 24 March and we confirm sizzling line-up; Chef Shaun shares some festive fare recipe winners and we choose our favorite Cape Jazz Shiraz Cocktail recipe. We also share our recent blogs and wrap up with a report from the very special Anna Foundation. We are open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm and close only on Christmas day and News Years day.

October is upon us and hopefully so is Summer! This month we release two new vintages and are proud to be the official Wine Tourism Destination of the Year! We are part of Cook Franschhoek and Shaun shares his Blue Cheese & Biltong recipe to pair with a World Cup Rugby 2011 game and some Cape Jazz Shiraz! If you haven’t booked your year end function yet – think Solms-Delta. We have a new tent at Fyndraai for bigger events and our small lake and private picnic spots are perfect for summer parties! For all its tranquillity Solms-Delta is not a sleepy place. On this happy Spring Day we have lots on the go, both on and off the farm – see What’s On for shows and festivals this month. We launch our Weddings and Events facility – ‘say I do amongst the vines’ – and celebrate Heritage Day all weekend (and all year)! Our highlight is that from now on if you order our wine online via our eShop there is no delivery fee – yip, to your door at no extra cost! Enjoy all this and more in our September news.

During August we celebrate women with Women’s Month and look forward to hosting Die Burger’s readers on Women’s Day (the 9th) for breakfast at Fyndraai. We’re in Jozi this weekend for the JHB Wine Show; running a fun Ultra Liquors promo on Langarm until month end; offering a really Lekker eShop special; and presenting Chef Shaun’s soufflé crumpets recipe for you to cook and enjoy! We’re glad to have our music man back from a UK tour with the Nudies and SO proud of our Basketball boys who are now top of the log! These and more in our News Bites below… thanks for joining us. This July you can celebrate the Green Season at Solms-Delta with the whole family and all your friends, even the beer drinkers!
